The Kami License Dashboard is packed with information and different settings. This article will guide you through the dashboard.
Getting to your Kami License Dashboard
First off, how do you locate your License Dashboard? You can locate the option to go to your License Dashboard under your initials in Kami or by going to https://customerpanel.kamihq.com/
Administering a license
Once you are at your license dashboard, you will be presented with a screen similar to this one:
The section will list all the licenses you are a part of. If you are a license admin, you should also see a
button that you can use to manage and deploy the users on the license.
The page will give you a list of domains for which you are set as a domain admin. This admin role is separate from being a License Admin. Most of the time, you don't have to be a domain admin or even need to do anything on this page. If you need to be a domain admin and you cannot see your domain listed here, please email your Kami Sales contact or support@kamiapp.com to inquire about being listed as a domain administrator.
We also have a new section that allows you to turn off specific features for all users or only students on the license.
The dropdown menu will give you choices between three of our current integrated learning management systems (LMS).
If you use Google Classroom as your LMS, the Google Classroom page will allow you to create or update a Class Snapshot. This will allow you to copy any existing classwork so that you can reuse Kami assignments you have previously created.
If you use Canvas as your LMS, the Canvas page allows you to set up your Canvas LTI automatically or generate your LTI key and Shared Secret to set up a manual installation.
If you use Schoology as your LMS, the Schoology page allows you to generate your LTI key and Secret so you can install the External integration.
License Details
If you are a license administrator, clicking the "manage license" button will allow you to see details about and manage the users on your license. You will be able to see information similar to what is shown in this example below for the license(s) on which you are an administrator.
Type refers to the license type. It can be a teacher, a school, or a district-wide level license for an education plan. It can also be a Pro or a Work license for a non-education plan.
Licensed Seats refers to the amount of user seats purchased for this license.
Users Count refers to the number of users the license has been deployed to.
Validity refers to the license creation date and the current expiry date for the license.
If you do not have a Domain-wide deployment active on the license, the email domain will be empty. If you have a domain-wide deployment active, your deployed domains will show up here.
License Key refers to the unique key assigned to your license. The license key is mainly used for Teacher-type licenses. You can read more about different methods for deploying a license here.
License Usage
This tab can provide insights into license users' activity. It shows multiple data sources, which can be customized using the dropdown options.
Manage Users
The Manage Users tab lists current users on the license. You can click on any of the blue header rows to sort information or use the filter area to modify your search options. For example, if you are looking for a specific user named Thomas, type %Thomas% and press enter to locate them.
You can also search by segmentation. If you are only looking for teachers or only for students, you can set that in the filter. To do this, select the search bar and choose search builder. There are many options you can customize. Look for one that says user_profile as shown below.
If you are looking for only students, you can do the following combinations:
is = student
If you are looking for only teachers or others, the following is the best setting:
is not = student
Add Users
The Add Users tab gives you several options for adding users to your license.
Add User to License by email allows you to add a user to your license quickly. If you are adding more than one user in this area, make sure to separate them line by line or by comma.
Add/Remove Users to License using CSV: This section allows you to add or remove users using a list of potential or current users' emails. If you don't know how to create a CSV file, you can download a sample one.
Deploy License to Google Workspace Organization Unit: This section is designated for Google Workspace Admins and allows you to deploy your Google OU to this license. You must be both a Kami License Admin and have the proper Google Admin permissions from your district to be able to use this method.
The screenshot above shows what it looks like when it's already deployed. If you haven't deployed it yet, you can find the deployment button in this section.
For further information about using Google OU deployment, please refer to the article How to deploy your Kami license using Google Workspace - Organizational Units (OU).
