In the past, this was known as the LTI integration for Schoology. We have decided to move away from calling it that, and we now refer to it as the External Tool Integration.
Compared to the Extension Integration, the External Tool Integration has vastly more features to offer, including but not limited to the following:
Support for iPad users
Support for copying assignments across courses
Support for co-teachers
Better file management
Real-time monitoring
If you have already installed the integration, you can visit our Creating Kami Assignments in Schoology article next.
✏️ If you aren't an Admin in Schoology but you are the Course Admin you can still install Kami. Please go to this link for more information.
How to install the Kami External Tool in your Schoology as a Schoology Admin
1. Installing the Kami App integration
Follow the image below for the step-by-step guide:
2. Configure the Kami App integration
After installing, you should be redirected to your Organization Apps. Find Kami and click the Configure button.
Now that your configuration page is open, you can go to your Kami License Dashboard, then select Schoology under the Learning Management Systems dropdown from the menu bar.
You should see a set of Consumer Keys and Shared Secrets. Copy and paste these to the Kami app configuration page in Schoology, then click Save Settings.
3. Push out Kami to all courses
Click the Install/Remove button next to Kami, then select All Courses before clicking Submit.
If you have configured your Schoology organizations to manage multiple schools, they should appear under the section below. Please visit Schoology's guide if you still need to set up multiple schools under your organization.
