Kami's Class View feature allows teachers to:

This feature is available to all Google Classroom teachers as long as they have the Kami Extension installed on their browsers.

To get started, you'll first need to have a Kami Assignment. You can start from Google Classroom or your Kami Dashboard.

Access the Class View feature in Google Classroom by going to Student Work and selecting the Kami Assignment you wish to use. You'll find the Kami Class View button on the right-hand side, similar to what is shown below:

Click the Class View button to open the assignments in Kami. If you have multiple files in the Kami Assignment, it will prompt you to choose which file to open. You can make your choice, then click Open to confirm.

View and give feedback on your students' work in real time before they turn it in. This feature is included in Kami Assignments and when opening the assignments in Class View.

Each student's work is organized in columns, with pages displayed in rows. At the top of each column are the students' names, assignment status, and a space to enter grades.

For personalized feedback, we recommend using our multimedia Comment tools, which allow you to provide feedback in text, voice, video, or screen capture video.

At the top of each student's submission, the assignment status will be displayed next to their name. Here's what each status means:

Sort and Filter appear respectively at the top left of Class View, as seen in the images below:

The Sort option allows you to change the order in which you see the assignments. You have an option for Submission status (Which is covered in the above section), which will be the automatic selection when you open your Class View assignments.

You also have an alphabetical order option by First Name A to Z and Last Name A to Z. To see the most recently submitted assignment, select Last Submitted.

The Filter option limits what shows up on your Class View. All the filters are automatically off, and you can turn them on by ticking the check box to see specific options under the submission status.

At the top right-hand side, firstly you have a tool called Feature Control (1) this tool allows you to turn off/on all student annotation tools available to them in the particular assignment you are viewing. It allows you to have more freedom in teaching live classes. For more information on the Feature Control tool please check out this article

With the Insights (2) feature you can view real-time student performance metrics to provide feedback or make edits to improve outcomes. Check out this article for more information.

Click Return all (3) to return grades to your students.

If you click the Toggle (4), you'll open the Edit Assignment option to update any changes to the assignment for all students. For more information, take a look at this article.

*You'll be presented with the option to Return only scored assignments or Return all assignments.

You can also return work individually. In the top-right corner of the student's assignment, leave a grade and click Return to confirm.

This feature is synced with Google Classroom, meaning the total grade points will be 100 by default unless you've changed the total in Google Classroom.

Remember, all your annotations are saved and synced in real-time, so students can also see your feedback if they choose to reopen their turned-in work.
