What does flattening annotations do to my document?

When you select Flatten Annotations in simple terms it makes your annotations uneditable, It is effective in securing typed annotations and making them uneditable for future users of the document. This function is best used on only typed/still image material.

When you flatten something that has a video/audio file/comment on it, using this function will stop that from being viewable/listenable.

This feature is fantastic for when you want your document to be read aloud using the read aloud tool. Simply flatten your typed out annotations and re-upload it to Kami and run the Text recognition tool and you are good to go.

Tip: It's also helpful if you want to use markup tools like the highlighter tool on your comments.
