Getting started with Kami
Before starting an assignment, make sure that the below steps have been followed first, in order to make completing your assignments with Kami even easier.
1. Kami browser extension
The Kami browser extension should be installed to easily open Kami and access all the available features.
If this is not already installed on your browser, you can learn how to install it for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
β If your school or district has a Kami license, this step might have already been completed by your tech administrator. You can skip this step if you already have the Kami extension installed on your browser.
2. Log in to Kami
To complete your assignments in Kami, you will need to be logged in. If you have recently logged in, Kami will recognize your account and bring you straight to the Kami Dashboard.
If you are prompted to log in again, simply sign in with the email account you used when you created your Kami account.
If you have never logged in to Kami before, creating your account is easy! Learn more about how to create your account and sign in to Kami.
Opening your Kami assignment link
If your teacher has sent you a Kami sharing link, you can open it to view your own copy of the assignment inside the Kami app.

Once you've opened your assignment in Kami, you can start working using all of Kami's tools and features! If you need help, learn more about each tool in your Kami toolbox.

This window will look different depending on where your file is saved, so refer to the steps below for each save location:
