How does Feature Control work?

Feature Control in your Sharing settings lets you toggle on/off tools and features that your collaborators can access when they open the shared Kami document.

Any changes to your Feature Control settings will automatically update for collaborators, so you have the option to modify it before or after you share your document.

How to use Feature Control in Kami

  1. Click Share Document, found in the top-right corner of your Kami menu bar.

  2. Under Sharing Permission, select My Domain or Anyone with link.

  3. Choose Editor or Create individual copy, to see the Control features button

  4. Click the checkbox next to the tool names to toggle on/off. You can also choose All On or All Off as a shortcut.

  5. Once done, click OK before sharing your Kami doc link or QR code with collaborators

Tip: Click the Remember Options checkbox to save your current settings.

Opening a Kami doc as a collaborator

When your students open the Kami doc with Feature Controls applied, the tools and features that weren’t selected in Feature Control won’t appear as shown below.
