How does Google Workspace Org Unit deployment work?
This process functions by syncing information between your Google Workspace and Kami. Your basic Google Org Unit user information is shared with your Kami license, automatically adding all users from the selected org units to the Kami license.
This is only a one-way sync. Therefore, adding or removing users from the Kami license will not be reflected on the Google Org Unit side. If you add or remove users from the Google Org Unit, this will be reflected in the Kami license after the next automatic sync.
⛔️ If anything is changed in your Google Workspace Org Unit (i.e new Org Unit added or existing org unit removed), you will need to redeploy/re-sync the Google Org Unit deployment on Kami.
How to set up your Google Org Unit deployment
1. In the license dashboard, select Manage License on the desired license.

2. Open the Add Users tab to view the available deployment options, then refer to the steps for each method below:

3. Once in the Add Users tab, scroll down to the Deploy License to Google Workspace Organization Unit section, and select this option.

4. Using the checkboxes, you can select which Org Units you want to deploy to. The user count will be displayed to the right of the selected units.
You can also change the user segmentation to Teacher or Student by selecting the User Profile button.
When finished, select the Save button in the top-right corner.

Things to keep in mind

This will not work if the license is currently deployed via the domain-wide deployment method.

Suspended users in the Org Unit will not be synced, as only active users are included in the sync.

Any user who is removed from the Kami license and is still in one of the Org Units will be re-added to the Kami License when the next automatic sync occurs.

When the Org Unit sync is removed, all users added through the Org Unit will also be removed from the license.
