Who can do this?
👤 Kami Assignments can be created by Schoology Teachers.
Creating a Kami Assignment in Schoology is as easy as clicking a button, but before you start, you must first confirm that the Kami LTI Integration is installed.
How to create a Kami Assignment in Schoology
1. Open the Kami Assignment window
Navigate to your desired Schoology course. Select the Add Materials button, then select Kami from the drop-down list.
2. Select material to assign
A Kami Assignment window will open, where you can choose to create an assignment by selecting a file from Google Drive or OneDrive. You also have the option to use a file directly from the Kami Library, or upload a file from your device.
At the bottom of this window, we've added some features to help students and to allow teachers more customization when creating an assignment:

Selecting this option lets you set a Due Date for the assignment and restrict the student's access after they click submit. Their access will be restored once you return the graded assignment.
📝 Choosing a due date will automatically submit all assignments back to the teacher once time is up.

Selecting this option allows you to select/unselect specific tools to customize what your students will see in their Kami toolbar for that assignment. Learn more about Feature Control.
3. Assign your Kami Assignment
After you click the Continue button, a new window will open, allowing you to customize the assignment.
When you're done, click the Save Changes button in order to publish the assignment to your students.
Your students should now have access to the assignment and can start working. To view their work and send feedback in real-time, you can use the Kami Class View feature directly in Schoology.
