What is In-Progress Grading for Schoology?

With the Kami LTI Integration for Schoology, teachers use the Kami Class View feature directly in Schoology to view students' work and provide feedback before they submit their assignments.

This guide provides an alternative option for those unable to use the Kami LTI Integration and have the Kami Extension installed on their browser.

How to set up in-progress grading with the Kami Extension for Schoology

First, you must locate the assignment files in the Shared with me section of your Google Drive. We recommend saving the file name in a separate file to make it easier to locate the files related to that assignment.

1. Open Google Drive, then click on the filters button in the Search Bar.

2. Set the location to the Shared with me folder.

3. Paste the saved file name into the Item Name field, then click Search.

4. Locate the student whose work you wish to view (their name will be at the start of the file title).

Right-click on their file and select Open with > then select Annotate with Kami.

Once the file is open, you can begin providing feedback to the student.

❗️ If you are not able to see the Annotate with Kami option, you may need to click on Connect more apps at the bottom drop-down menu, and add Kami as a connected app.
