Restore annotations

Bring your previously deleted annotations back to life (like zombies, but less scary).

Who can use this?

👤 Students and Teachers.

👤 This is a free feature; users on any Kami plan can use this tool.

The Restore annotations feature works on deleted annotations created with any Kami annotation tool, including comments, drawings, shapes, media, etc.

What is the Restore annotations feature?

With the Restore annotations feature, you can easily bring back your previously deleted annotations on a page-by-page basis.

📝 For Comment annotations that were edited prior to deletion, Restore Annotations will restore the most recent version of the comment, rather than the original.

How to use Restore annotations

Select the File button from the top navigation bar to open the drop-down menu. Then, select the Restore annotations option about halfway down the menu.

The File menu open and the Restore annotations option highlighted.

The tool will then reveal all previously deleted annotations, with a message at the top of each page indicating how many annotations have been deleted from that page and can be selected to restore.

The delected annotations count at the top of each page when in Restore annotations view.

You can now scroll through the pages of your assignment, select the annotations you wish to restore, then click the Restore button at the bottom of the screen.

Otherwise, click Select All, then Restore to restore all deleted annotations throughout your assignment.
