Kami Extension in Chrome

The benefits:

  • Access on demand β€” The Kami extension is compatible with Chromebooks and is available for both teachers and students, so everyone is just a click away from adding Kami-magic, every day.
  • Open with Kami button β€” After deploying, a Kami icon will appear in the upper-right corner of every Google doc, slide, or sheet. Now it’s even easier to open resources straight into Kami!
  • Integrations made easy β€” Get the most out of our LMS integrations with the extension. Plus, get access to advanced Google Classroom features like Class View and Publish Changes.
  • Updates reach you faster β€” Unlike the alternative Chrome Web Store extension, the Private Chrome extension is delivered directly from Kami to your organization without waiting on the Chrome Web Store review process, which can delay updates by three or more days. When we deploy a fix, your classrooms get it sooner.
  • Deployment is centrally managed β€” Administrators can roll the extension out to the entire organization through the Google Admin Console. Updates happen automatically in the background. Teachers don't need to do anything.
  • The experience is identical β€” Teachers and students won't notice any difference in how Kami works between the Private Extension and the Chrome Web Store extension, as they are functionally identical. The only change is how updates are delivered.
