Creating Kami assignments in Moodle

Simplify your Moodle assignment workflow with Kami.

To complete the steps in this article, the Kami external tool integration must be installed in Moodle. Learn more about how to install.

 

How to create a Kami assignment in Moodle

1. Navigate to the desired course, then enable Edit mode via the toggle in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Select the Add content (+) button, then choose Activity or resource from the drop-down options.

3. In the window that opens, scroll through the list or use the search bar to find and select Kami.

If Kami does not appear as an option, it may not be enabled for this course. To enable, open the More tab from the Moodle menu bar and select the LTI External Tools option. Here, you'll see the setting to toggle Kami on/off.

4. On the assignment settings page, click the Select content button.

5. In the Kami window that opens, you can attach a file from your Google Drive, OneDrive, the Kami Library, or upload from your computer.

After uploading your file, you can also enable Assessment Mode and Feature Control. When you're finished, select Attach.

6. Once your file is attached, you can finish configuring the assignment details. When finished, select the Save and display button to share it with your students.

That's it! Your assignment will now be listed under your course's content for students to open and work on.
