Updated over a month ago

What is the Add Media tool?

The Add Media tool is primarily used to add images and videos to a Kami document from external sources. There are also options to add Kami Stickers and Graphic Organizers.

Add Media menu

  1. My Computer — Add media from your device's storage

  2. Camera — Take a picture or video using your device

  3. Google Image Search Type a prompt word or phrase and click the search button

  4. Google Drive Add media from your Google Drive (you may need to grant access)

  5. OneDrive — Add media from your OneDrive (you may need to grant access)

  6. YouTube Jump to this section for a detailed breakdown

  7. Graphic Organizers Jump to this section

  8. Stickers Jump to this section

Once you've added an image, you'll see an action bar appear above or below it. There are three manipulation tools available: Move, Rotate, and Crop (move and rotate are also options for videos).

✏️ You might be asked to grant access to your Camera and Microphone when using the Camera Tool. You should be prompted to do so once you open the tool, the prompt will be found at the top left of your browser.

YouTube tool

The YouTube option requires you to have a YouTube link ready. Your video will appear once you paste the link in the link area (1). You can adjust the start and end time (2) by typing the time or using the slide bar.

When you're ready, click Insert Video (3) to add it to your Kami doc.

Stickers and Graphic Organizers

When you select the Stickers and Graphic Organizers options, they'll expand, allowing you to scroll and choose what you'd like to add to your page.
