What is Class View?

Kami Class View centralizes student work. With this feature, teachers can:

View the whole class's Kami Assignment files at the same time.
Monitor students' progress and performance with real-time monitoring.
Leave feedback using a range of multimedia tools.
Grade multiple students’ work simultaneously.
Leave a grade and have it sync automatically to Canvas.

Kami Class View

Opening an assignment in Class View

There are two ways you can open a Kami assignment in Class View:

From your LMS

After creating and assigning a Kami assignment in your LMS, you'll see a Class View button the next time you open the assignment. Note: the exact location of the button will vary slightly depending on your LMS.

From the Kami Dashboard

In addition to your LMS, you can also find and open assignments in Class View directly from your Kami Dashboard.

Note: If you can't see your assignments here, this could be caused by a few reasons:

The file you're trying to load may not have been created with Kami.
You may not be the Primary Teacher for the assignment, which is preventing Kami from loading it in your dashboard.

Otherwise, try reloading your Kami Dashboard to confirm if this resolves the issue. If the desired file still does not appear, reach out to our Support Team for further assistance.

Navigating Class View

After opening Class View, the following options are available at the top of the page:

1. Toggle between Answer view and Pages view.

2. Sort student copies by Submission status, First Name (A to Z), Last Name (A to Z), or Last Submitted.

3. Filter student copies by Submission Status (Turned in, Assigned, Graded, Resubmitted, Returned, Not opened).

4. Open the Insights Dashboard.

5. Return all assignments or scored assignments.

6. Toggle between Class View and Edit Assignment.

Answer View

If you used the Questions tool while creating an assessment, you can navigate to the Answers view in Class View to easily review student responses to your questions, alongside the answer key.
