The first step in most deployment methods is heading to your license dashboard, you can find it in the Kami app, by selecting your initials and it will be in the drop down.
Note: If you don't see the License Dashboard button, it means you aren't an admin on the license. If you are supposed to be the admin please email email@example.com and we will make sure the appropriate person is added as admin.
Once at your license dashboard make sure to select administer license on the license you wish to upload a CSV into.
Adding a user with an email
In the Add User to License section add the user email and it should send them an invite to join the license.
Using CSV file upload
Making your CSV file can be done in either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, they function similarly.
If you’re using Google Sheets to create your file, follow these steps:
Make a copy of the file you are about to use, and use that copy to create a CSV file.
Remove all other columns and data aside from the emails.
Make sure the first row only says “Email.”
Click File from the Menu Bar, select Download from the dropdown selection, then pick Comma-separated values (.csv, current sheet).
You now have a CSV file copy of the user emails you can use.
Note: Make sure when uploading the file, you have a header role that says “Email” with all the emails you need to add listed under this header. If you get stuck, we have a handy example that can be download on the license page.
Uploading your CSV file choose your file that you just downloaded/saved from sheets or excel and then select Add Users
Once you do this, just wait for the file to be uploaded it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. After it completes the upload all the users on the CSV file will now be added on the license.
Things to note:
Adding users through this method will send an invitation to those users for them to accept. This means the user will not be able to use premium features until they accept the license invite. Learn more about our License Invite System at the end of this article.
When uploading a CSV file that contains a large number of users, it will take a few minutes (about 1-3 minutes) before all users are reflected in the license. Make sure to refresh and check afterward if all users have seemed to be added.
