Deploying the Kami extension to your school/domain
Rather than installing through the Chrome Web Store, the Kami Chrome extension can be installed for your entire school or domain in the Google Admin Workspace.
📝 Due to Google Workspace for Education authorization and approval requirements for third-party apps, students will not be able to log in to Kami with their school-issued Google accounts unless the Third-Party App Access Controls are configured correctly.
1. Navigate to the Apps & Extension settings
Log in to the Google Admin Workspace, and open Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions on the left side panel.
Then, select the Users & Browsers tab to view your settings.

2. Adding the Kami extension to your domain
After clicking Users & browsers, you will be redirected to a page like the one shown below.
First, select the parent domain (for example: your.domain.com), or expand the organizational units drop-down to select an individual school or other OU.
Next, select the yellow Add (+) button, then select the Add from Chrome Web Store option.

📝 We recommend blocking other PDF viewers, such as DocHub or Text-Help Read and Write, or at least ensuring they aren't set as the default PDF viewer. Having multiple programs open at once may confuse students and could conflict with Kami. To disable, simply follow the prior installation steps to locate them in the Chrome Web Store, then, under Installation Policy, select Block.
3. Configure the extension settings
First, sure that the extension is force installed by clicking the Installation Policy dropdown and selecting Force install.

With updates frequently released, we recommend against version pinning if you aren't able to update it manually regularly.
