How does the Dictionary tool work?
Kami's Dictionary tool shows you the definition of words in your Kami document. The Dictionary tool works in your Text Boxes and for any document with readable text in Kami.
How to use the Dictionary tool
Select Dictionary from your toolbar (the second tool from the top).
Click or highlight the word you want to define.
See the definition of the word in a pop-up like the one shown below.
How to use Dictionary with the Read Aloud feature
We’ve made it easier to access the Read Aloud feature with Dictionary definitions. Every time you use the Dictionary tool, you can click the speaker buttons to hear the text displayed in the pop-up, this includes the word and its definitions.
How to change the Dictionary Language (Beta)
Kami now also supports using the dictionary tool in other languages, so you can switch between them depending on the language of the text. The current language is visible under the work selected/defined.
To switch between the Language selected, click the arrow to the right of the language, and select the language you want to use from the Dropdown.
Please note that the dictionary definition will be written in the language selected, (Spanish Dictionary will have the definition written in Spanish)
