Defining Tricky Words

The Dictionary Tool allows your student to quickly query the definition of a word without having to leave the document. Perfect for reading exercises to improve comprehension of the text and expand students vocabulary!

Close-Reading Exercises

The Mark-up and Comment tools are perfect for close-reading reading. Use highlights to draw attention to key ideas in the text and use Text comments to elaborate on these annotations with explanation and analysis. Students can also use Voice-typing or Voice comment to either transcribe or record a short comment to catch a quickly thought and have it saved for later review (see the above link to the Comment tools for more on that).

Reading Documentsย

The Read Aloud tool is a handy tool for reading particularly dense or antiquated passages of text. It's also been shown that absorbing information from multiple sources (i.e combining reading and listening), greatly improves engagement with the source material and improves the chances of retaining that information.
