Granting tenant-wide admin consent to Kami from Microsoft

Grant tenant-wide admin consent to all Microsoft users through the Azure portal.

Who is this for?

👤 Microsoft Admin users with a Microsoft Entra account that meets the role requirements.

 

What does this do?

Microsoft allows you to grant tenant-wide admin consent to an app, granting it access to the requested permissions on behalf of the entire organization. This will allow all users to access the Kami app, unless otherwise restricted.
 
 
 
 

How to grant tenant-wide admin consent to Kami

1. Log in to Kami with any Microsoft account on the tenant, then open the Azure portal in a separate browser tab.


2. Per Microsoft requirements, granting tenant-wide admin consent requires you to sign in as a user who is authorized to consent on behalf of the organization. Therefore, log in to the Azure portal using a Microsoft Entra account with one of the following roles:

  • Privileged Role AdministratorFor granting consent for apps requesting any permission, for any API.

  • Cloud Application Administrator, AI Administrator, or Application Administrator— For granting consent for apps requesting any permission for any API, except Microsoft Graph app roles (application permissions).

  • A custom directory role that includes the permission to grant permissions to applications For the permissions required by the application. 


3. After logging in, use the search bar to find and open the Azure Active Directory.

4. On the left side menu, select the Enterprise applications tab.

5. Select the All applications tab under the Manage section on the left side menu, then select Kami from the list of applications.

6. Select the Permissions tab under the Security section on the left side menu.

7. On the Permissions page, select the Grant admin consent for [your domain name] button.
