Files compatible with Kami

Load your PDFs into Kami or quickly convert existing pages, spreadsheets, slides, and more for annotation.

 

How are files loaded into Kami?

Kami is a PDF viewer and annotation app; therefore, any other file type loaded into Kami must first be converted to PDF.

With this, any files downloaded from Kami will also be in PDF format and cannot be converted into another file type unless a third-party converter is used.

 

File types supported by Kami

​The following file types can be automatically converted into PDF format when loading into Kami:

  • .docx (from Microsoft Word and Google Docs)
  • .pptx (from Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides)
  • .xls (Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets)
  • .png image files
  • .jpeg image files

 

Running Text Recognition

After converting your file into a PDF in Kami, you may be prompted to run Text Recognition if the document contains any text in order to make it selectable for annotating.
