✏️ You can also create a Kami assignment directly from your Kami dashboard by selecting the Google Classroom Assignment button.

2. In the Kami Assignment window that opens, you can set the Title, add Instructions, and attach a file from your Google Drive/OneDrive, your computer, or from the Kami Library.

📝 You will not be able to use Class View if you use the Link option to attach a Google Drive file. Instead, use the Drive upload option to attach the file.

At the bottom right of this window, you'll also have access to some additional options:

  • Send Kami Instructions to Students

This attaches a Kami help article to the Kami assignment with instructions for setting up Kami and using the integration to help students get started with their Kami assignments.

  • Add Links for Mobile Devices
Attach an extra link to the Kami assignment that functions as an Open with Kami button. This option is designed for users working from iPads or similar touch devices where the Kami Chrome extension cannot be installed.
  • Control Features
Configure Feature Control settings for individual students or the whole class.

Share type for the files in the Kami assignment can be set to:

  • Make a copy for each student

The default and recommended setting for a regular flow of Kami Assignments, where each student receives their own copy of the assignment to work on.

  • Students share one copy

All students can work on the same shared file.

  • Students cannot edit file

Students will share the same file but can only view it; they cannot make edits.
