What is the Add Media tool?
The Add Media tool is primarily used to add images and videos from external sources to a Kami document. It also allows you to add Kami Stickers and Graphic Organizers.
Add Media Options
My Computer — Add media from your device's storage
Camera — Take a picture or video using your device
Google Image Search — Type a word prompt and click the search button
Google Drive — Add media from your Google Drive (Must be authorized)
OneDrive — Add media from your OneDrive (Must be authorized)
YouTube — Jump to this section for a detailed breakdown
Graphic Organizers — Jump to this section for a detailed breakdown
Stickers — Jump to this section for a detailed breakdown
Editing Images
Once you've added an image, an action bar will appear above or below it. Three manipulation tools are available: Move, Rotate, and Crop (move and rotate are also options for videos).
✏️ You might be asked to grant access to your Camera and Microphone when using the Camera Tool. You should be prompted to do so once you open the tool, the prompt will be found at the top left of your browser.
Uploading Audio Files
We recently made a change to allow audio files to be uploaded to Kami from either your device or cloud storage (Google Drive and OneDrive). To place an audio file on the page, select it from your file storage and click on the page. Once you click on the page, it will create an audio comment with an anchor on the page.
YouTube videos
The YouTube option allows you to insert a video directly into your Kami document through a video link.
Stickers and Graphic Organizers
When you select the Stickers and Graphic Organizers options, they'll expand, allowing you to scroll and choose what you'd like to add to your page.
