Who can use this?
π€ The Equation tool is available for Students and Teachers.
Handy for quick access to symbols not included in your standard keyboard, the Equation tool is a useful addition to the Text box feature.
What is the Equation tool?
The Equation tool is a Text Box variant that lets you quickly add mathematical, scientific, and musical symbols to your document.
How to use the Equation tool
Select the Equation tool from your toolbar, and click anywhere on the page to place the equation text box.
Menu
When you select the Equation tool from the toolbar, you'll see the following options:
Font Size (Also available in the Action bar once the equation text box is placed)
Symbols (Math, Science, and Music)
Font Colour
Eyedropper and More Colors
Action bar
Once placed on the page, an Action bar appears when you hover over the annotation.
User Icon β The initials of the user who made the annotation
Move β Move the annotation freely
Font Color
Rotate (90Β°)
Font Size
Save to Annotation Bank β Save for later use (teachers only)
Delete
Freehand Rotation
Symbols
The library of symbols can be found via the pi (πΉ) icon on your menu bar.
This option is also available within the Text Box tool's action bar.
When using the Text box tool, just select the insert function (ππ₯) icon on the action bar at the top of your screen, then click the pi (πΉ) symbol.
