How to do Kami Assignments as a Student in Microsoft Teams

1. Allow Kami on your App permission settings

This is essential to ensure that some of Kami's amazing tools, such as the Audio Comment and the Video Comment tool, will work.

While in Microsoft Teams, click the ellipsis button at the top right-hand side and select the Settings button.

Go to the App permissions tab and find Kami. Enable the toggle for the Media setting. This will allow Kami to use the appropriate media component when you use a specific Kami tool that needs it.

2. Open your Assignment

Go into the Assignments tab in one of your courses, then click the assignment you'd like to work on. After selecting an assignment, you should see your assigned assignments in the Forthcoming tab.

Clicking the file will open your assignment information. A button to open the file in Kami will be seen in the middle of the page, you can locate it by looking for the Kami icon.

3. Load and Annotate your Assignment in Kami

Selecting the Kami assignment button as seen below will open your assignment:

Once your assignment is open in Kami you can start working on your assignment using the Kami tools to complete your work.

πŸ” Your work will auto-save, but if you want to double-check if your work is saved, go to the top right and look for the save button. Here you can see if your work has been saved, and you can manually save your work if you want.

4. Hand in your Assignment

Once you're done with your work, you exit out of the Kami view using the x button on the top right. That will take you back to your assignment information. There you can Hand In your assignment.

❗️ When you are doing assignments in your Channel Tab section, you locate your assignment at the top as seen below

This type of assignment has no Hand-in option. Once you start working on your document, all your work is able to be viewed by your teacher. Once you finish your work you can leave the document safely.
