What are Kami Heroes?
Kami Heroes are our ambassadors and the biggest champions of Kami. They are past or current educators and EdTech professionals who believe in the power of community and our mission to reimagine learning.
Each year, we welcome a selection of new ambassadors into our program through applications and through special invites. A Kami Hero status is valid for 12 months.
How do I become a Kami Hero?
To become a Kami Hero, you'll need to submit an application via our website. Our applications will open in June annually.
What is the application process?
Applications will open for two weeks each June. Submit your official application for our Programs team to review. Once selected, the new class of Kami Heroes will begin their term in July.
I'm not a teacher, can I still apply to be a Kami Hero?
Absolutely! Kami Heroes are passionate Kami users. They range from teachers, ex-teachers, technology directors, PD coaches, and EdTech professionals. The key requirement is that you hold both Level 1 and Level 2 Kami Certified Educator status.
How long is the Kami Heroes term?
Each term is 12 months long, beginning in July.
Are there any requirements to become a Kami Hero?
Our only requirement is to hold valid Level 1 and Level 2 Kami Certified Educator certificates.
What do you get as a Kami Hero?
You’ll be the first to know company news and get insight into new features and product enhancements; Provide product feedback to the Kami team.
You’ll receive a complimentary upgrade to the Kami Teacher Plan for a year.
Opportunities to speak at Kami Connect webinars and other virtual or in-person events.

Help new Kami educators explore Kami by offering a free 4-month trial of the Teacher Plan.
Earn an exclusive Kami Hero badge and certificate to verify your membership.
Receive a welcome swag package in the mail and get priority for sponsorship requests.
What is a Kami Hero referral code?
Each Kami Hero gets a unique referral code to share. This gives the recipient a 30-day trial of the Kami teacher plan license to try out all the Kami tools and features.
