Using the Restore Annotations tool

Learn how to restore your previously deleted annotations.

Updated this week

Who can use this?

πŸ‘€ The Restore Annotations tool is available for Students and Teachers.

πŸ‘€ This is a free feature; users on any Kami plan can use this tool.

This feature works with deleted annotations created with any Kami annotation tool, including comments, drawings, shapes, media, etc.

What is the Restore Annotations Tool?

With the Restore Annotations button in the menu bar, you can restore all of your previously deleted annotations on a page-by-page basis.

πŸ“ For comment annotations that were edited prior to deletion, Restore Annotations will restore the most recent version of the comment, rather than the original.

How to restore your annotations in Kami

Select the File button on the top right of your screen to open the drop-down menu.

Find the Restore Annotations option halfway down the menu. The tool will then reveal all deleted annotations, with a message at the top of each page stating how many annotations have been deleted from that page and can be selected to restore.

You can now scroll through the pages of your assignment, Select those you wish to restore, then click the Restore button at the bottom of the screen.

Otherwise, click Select All, then Restore to restore all deleted annotations throughout your assignment.
