To receive all the new features and improvements, your Kami Companion must be on the latest version. To get your updated version, follow one of the methods below.
For Personal Devices
You can update Kami Companion through your extensions management page. Simply follow these steps to get the latest version of Kami Companion.
1. Go to the Chrome extension page by typing chrome://extensions in your browser address bar.
2. Click the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner of the page.
Note: Not all school devices have access to developer mode in the extensions management page, so you will need to ask your administrator to update the Kami extension for you.
3. Click the Update button in the top-left corner of the page.
For School Devices
Not all school devices have access to developer mode in the extensions management page, so you will need to ask your administrator to update Kami Companion for you.
If your administrator has the capability to deploy the Kami extension through the Google Admin console, you can ask them to push out the latest version of the extension to everyone or disable version pinning to allow extension updates.
Consult your Google Administrator for guidance on how to best update the extension for your school device.
