Who can do this?
π€ ClassLink users with Kami student or teacher accounts.
π€ Schools or districts with the Kami app installed in ClassLink.
If the Kami app is not yet installed in ClassLink, please contact your ClassLink admin to request it be added. They can find the Kami app in the ClassLink SSO Library.
Steps to access Kami through ClassLink
1. Finding Kami from the ClassLink portal
For Teachers
As a teacher, log in to your ClassLink LaunchPad. The Kami app should have been installed by your ClassLink admin here. Select the Kami app. This will open the Kami app in a new browser tab.
β
βοΈ Can't see the Kami app here?
Please contact your ClassLink admin (usually one of your Tech admins) to get them to add Kami to your district's ClassLink LaunchPad. They can find the Kami app in the ClassLink SSO Library.
For Students
As a student, once you log into ClassLink, you should see all your apps on your ClassLink home page. Find and select the Kami app.
2. Linking your Google or Microsoft account
If this is your first time doing this step, you will be prompted to log in with your Kami Google or Microsoft account. This will create a new Kami account linked to the entered Google or Microsoft account, and will also be linked to your ClassLink account.
If you already have a Kami account, this step is similar to when you normally log in to the Kami App. The only difference is that this step will add a link to your ClassLink account.
βοΈ One-to-one
Once you link your ClassLink account to a Kami account, you won't be able to link it to any other accounts. If you need to unlink, please contact us at support@kamiapp.com.
3. Signing in and authenticating your account
Once you select Continue with Google or Microsoft, a small window will open with a prompt for you to log in with the email account you want to use with Kami. Go through the sign-in prompts.
Allow permission to Kami
Read through the permissions that you are granting to Kami, then select the Allow button at the bottom of the window.
After allowing permissions, your ClassLink account, Google or Microsoft account, and Kami account will now all be linked. The page will then reload, opening the Kami app for you.
βοΈ Ease of access
After completing these steps, the next time you open the Kami app from ClassLink, it will simply open Kami using the account you linked it to.
