Find and Register Kami
To install the Kami app LTI integration, you must be a Brightspace Admin. Log in and go to the settings menu at the top right.
Next, select Manage Extensibility, go to the LTI Advantage tab, and click Register Tool.
Make sure you click on the Dynamic option and tick Configure Deployment. This will make the overall deployment process easier for you.
You will have to enter the following link in the Tool initiation registration endpoint section: https://web.kamihq.com/api/lti/oidc/register
It is important that you type the link exactly as it's written here; otherwise, you will receive an error.
❗️ If for any reason you are reinstalling the Kami LTI integration in Brightspace it is important to change the name of the old deployment, as multiple names will break the deployment process for any new deployments.
Add Kami to your Org Units
Once you Register the tool in the previous section, it will take you to the Disabled tools section. You will need to enable a few things to get this working.
Firstly, click into the Kami app available in the list, and select the Enable toggle at the top of the page. Then scroll down and click on the View Deployments link, which will open a link for you in a new tab.
This tab takes you to a section called External Learning Tools. Next, you need to click on Kami and scroll down to the button labeled Add Org Units. Finally, you can add all the org units that you want to have the Kami LTI integration.
Once that is complete, click Save and Close on both open tabs in your Browser.
Everything should now be good to go for your teachers and students.
