How to delete annotations in Kami

Learn how to delete all types of annotations.

There are different ways to delete or erase annotations in your Kami document, whether you need to delete individual annotations, specific types, or all at once.

Deleting annotations

  • Click the Select tool in your toolbar.

  • Hover over or click the annotation to see a toolbar with controls.

  • Click the trash icon to delete.

  • To delete Text Boxes, click the X (delete) button

Deleting collaborators’ annotations

Teachers can delete their student's annotations if they are the file owner To delete collaborators’ annotations:

  • Click the Select tool in your toolbar.

  • Hover over or click the annotation.

  • On the toolbar that appears, click the trash icon.

In the Confirm Annotation Deletion pop-up, click Delete.

Deleting a group of annotations

  1. Click the Select tool in your toolbar, then choose Select Annotations.

  2. Click and drag to select the group.

  3. A toolbar will appear below your menu bar.

  4. Click the trash icon to delete.

Delete all annotations

The Delete all annotations option will give you a clear canvas across all of the pages in your document.

  • Go to Menu in the menu bar.

  • Select Delete all annotations in the Menu dropdown.

  • Choose between Delete All Annotations or Delete My Annotations.

  • Click the delete button.

Erase shapes and drawings only

  1. Select the Eraser in your toolbar.

  2. To only erase Drawings, select Drawings and Shapes.

  3. Click and hold to start erasing.

Erase all annotations

  1. Select the Eraser in your toolbar.

  2. To erase any annotation, select All annotations.

  3. Click and hold to start erasing.

Undo and Redo buttons

Use the Undo and Redo buttons in your menu bar to reverse actions.

You also have the option to use the keyboard shortcuts for undo and redo. Press CTRL + Z for Windows, or CMD (command) + Z for Mac users.
