  • Create a shared file inside of a team in Microsoft Teams

  • Feedback and grade using all Kami tools.

  • Sync your feedback or grading annotations in real time.

  • Auto-save files with your OneDrive.

✏️ Who can use Kami's Microsoft Teams integration?
This feature is available to users with a Kami Teacher, School, or District Plan. It also requires you to be a Microsoft Teams user.

Add the Kami app to your Microsoft Teams

Teachers must have the Kami app installed to be able to do anything Kami-related in Microsoft Teams:

  1. Click the “Apps” button.

  2. Click the search bar and type in "Kami".

  3. On the right, you will see the option to select the Kami app.

  4. Follow the prompts to install the Kami app.

Using the Kami app to create channel tab assignments

1. Creating an Assignment for Your Team

To create an assignment, you have to do it from a particular team. Select your team, then follow these steps:

Select a Channel > Select the + button at the top right

2. Adding a Kami Assignment

Once you select that, it will give you a pop-up to search for the app you want to use. Search for Kami in the search bar at the top, then select the Kami app.

3. Setting up your Kami Assignment

After selecting the Kami app, you will be presented with the option to add your file.
You can either:

  • Select a OneDrive File

  • Create a Blank File in Kami

  • Select a Template from the Kami Library

✏️ What is Features Control?

With Features Control, you can select or unselect the tools you'd like your students to have in their toolbox for that specific assignment. You can learn more about Features Control in this help article.

Finally, click Save to create the Kami Assignment tab for your team.
